Important Call to Action !

President Donald Trump’s pick to run the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, Seema Verma, has stated that maternity coverage should be optional for patients. Currently, maternity and newborn coverage must be covered by all health insurance plan. If maternity and newborn coverage becomes optional many Americans will face the possibility of insurance denial for prenatal care and thus choosing to not have the care we all know is so important for healthy infant outcomes. Additionally, payment for the care of infants could potentially be optional.
